Anyone say Customer Service? Not MTN...

Firstly, I need to say that I'm very happy with the product I purchase from MTN monthly, but I'm not fortunate enough to receive acceptable customer service from MTN. Ever.

I have 2 issues, both reported on 23 September, both unresolved. Haven't heard a peep from MTN. I need them sorted:

1. Reported via Facebook

So I receive a call from MTN ( ********** 180) on 20 September, informing me that I can upgrade 2 weeks early (what a nify customer-retention idea, I thought, especially since I was considering switching). Three days after the call, neither your Allandale service centre nor Mall of Africa nor Norwood branch (where I upgraded last) can assist. They simply shrug their shoulders and can't even pretend to be interested in helping me find out why I would receive such a call from a consultant telling me lies. Can anyone explain to me why I would receive such a call where the info I'm given is not true?

2. Requested via call centre

I requested a settlement quote for my contract and was assured I'll receive feedback within 2-48 hours. Obviously, I haven't received any feedback and I want that letter.

Furthermore, there is just a general lack of willingness to help at MTN. Even when I queried the progress of my settlement quote with the call centre, I was simply told that I'll get it when the retention team has done it, even though we've way exceeded the timeframe provided. No offer to escalate this for urgent attention of anything of the sort.
