I fell behind with my MTN account due to financial challenges. I requested that MTN cancel one of my contracts to avoid additional amounts being added to the overdues. MTN informed me that a contract cannot be cancelled if there are overdues. MTN sent me a letter of demand requesting the overdue amount and a 12k and some change cancellation fee for early cancellation. Keep in mind that I was informed that contracts cannot be cancelled if there are overdues. And don't tell me that your Terms and Conditions give you the right to demand cancellation fees in the event that there is non-payment. Your agent told me that a contract cannot be cancelled if there are overdues. Please assist in reinstating the contact and removing the cancellation fee from my account. Don't be contradictory in your communications.
