🚨 An Open Letter to MTN South Africa 🚨

🚨 An Open Letter to MTN South Africa 🚨

For months, I paid faithfully for the MTN Shesha 600GB Home Internet package — and for months, I received nothing but excuses.

Every time I called in, it was a different story: ❌ “It’s a network issue.” ❌ “It’s the weather.” ❌ “Just reset it.” ❌ “Come to the store.” (Resets done but didn’t help)

After countless calls, store visits, emails, and reviews that went completely ignored, I was finally told — by one of your own consultants — that my area was never even covered to begin with. I should never have been sold this package. So I cancelled. But the billing didn’t stop.

➡️ Last month: charged ±R90 — reversed it. ➡️ This month: charged R130 — Customer service told me its for an insurance policy on a service I no longer have. ➡️ Called the insurance provider they referred me to — turned away because I don’t have the router’s make, serial number, or registered routers SIM number. ➡️ Went to the store — dismissed again. I have written reviews. I have sent emails. I have called. No one has helped.

This is not just poor service — this is a failure of accountability at every level.

To anyone considering MTN Home Internet: please do your research first and confirm your area is covered before signing up. I wish I had. MTN, I am still waiting for a resolution. My details are available — please reach out. I only needed to path ways with MTN and now i need a full refund for all the deductions made however no service delivery.
