Airtime disappears mysteriously. Are we de*****ed?
I bought R100 airtime on Saturday (19 December 2015), from the R100 airtime I bought 300MB(weekly) for R35, I then made two phone calls which went straight to voicemail and I was left with R64.85. When I checked my balance this morning around 7:30am(Sunday-20 December 2015), I still had R64.85 airtime and 145MB, surprisingly at 10am my airtime balance was 0.00 and 48MB, no phone call was made but R64.85 disappeared mysteriously.

I called 808 Customer Service to enquire about my airtime. I spoke to a lady called Tholakele who asked me to hold, after a few minutes she came back to me and told me that there's no record of the airtime bought yesterday though there's a record of data bought (300MB). I was shocked that MTN chose to show updates of the data purchased but doesn't show the airtime bought. This isn't the first time its happening and previously when I called I was told the same thing.

It doesn't make sense that airtime disappears and MTN cannot tell u where it went. All they can say is that they don't have records of airtime bought. They send countless texts after you've bought airtime but the customer service will tell you that there's no record of purchased airtime.
