I have a Top up contract with MTN, I purchased airtime to the value of R15.00 via my Ebucks with FNB, I received an sms confirmation from MTN at 19:20 on the 28.10.2015 confirming that my account has been recharged with R15.00 and my Ebucks reflected that 150 had been deducted from it.
I then purchased a 100MB weekely bundle then I tried to connect to the internet seeing that I was unable to connect, I checked the balance and realised that I have no data, I thought I should maybe give it some time then check later.
I checked my balance this morning and no data balance was reflecting so I contacted the 808 contact centre and advised the consultant of the above and she repeatetly told me that an sms from MTN confirming that my line has been recharged R15.00 is not proof enough and I will be required to send a bank statement for my account to be credited.
I am expected to pull up a bank statement and pay bank charges in order for my R15.00 airtime to be recharged.
I am being punished for an error on their side.
Its not a first time that MTN has ****** money from me, I previously purchased rush hour internet bundles but was unable to connect
