airg content charges to be removed!!
Hi there. For the past couple of months I have been charged for content charges on my data contract for content charges under "airg services" as the company deducting charges from my account. I have not subscribed for this services at all. Today (09/10/2017), I have contacted 808 past 6pm and the agent advised that I must dial *141*5# to deactivate the content charge but when dailing the ussd code, it displayed that " I am not subscribed to any services". The agent also advised that I must dial the company "iarg" on ********** to cancel the service with them, but when dialing that number it comes back to the mtn call centre. I request for the money being deducted to be refunded back to me otherwise I will have to take it further with the ombudsman. My uncapped lite data contract should be about R350 per month and content charges is more than R250 extra on my contract. I never had a problem with mtn but this becoming an huge problem. For the past months I had to make debt just to pay for the content charges which I did not authorise. My data contract is nou double the subscription due to some company *****ing my money.
Please sort this issue out asap.
My data contract no is: ********** .
Please respond via my e-mail: ********** or contact me on my primary cell no on ********** .
Thank you
Vincent
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for taking time to raise your concerns with MTN.
Our subscriber terms and conditions do not make specific reference to content charges. MTN enters into contractual relationship with WASP’s (Wireless Application Service Providers), and acts as an “enabler” to the WASP’s by making the network platform available and providing a payment gateway. In addition MTN requires that such WASP’s be members of WASPA in an effort to bring about a self-regulatory measure. MTN does not have relationships with the content providers, they however have direct relationships with the WASP who aggregates such content on their behalf.
For any dispute regarding Wasp content subscription/ deductions, please lodge a complaint directly with Waspa either via www.waspa.org.za or on ***.
