airg content charges to be removed!!

Hi there. For the past couple of months I have been charged for content charges on my data contract for content charges under "airg services" as the company deducting charges from my account. I have not subscribed for this services at all. Today (09/10/2017), I have contacted 808 past 6pm and the agent advised that I must dial *141*5# to deactivate the content charge but when dailing the ussd code, it displayed that " I am not subscribed to any services". The agent also advised that I must dial the company "iarg" on ********** to cancel the service with them, but when dialing that number it comes back to the mtn call centre. I request for the money being deducted to be refunded back to me otherwise I will have to take it further with the ombudsman. My uncapped lite data contract should be about R350 per month and content charges is more than R250 extra on my contract. I never had a problem with mtn but this becoming an huge problem. For the past months I had to make debt just to pay for the content charges which I did not authorise. My data contract is nou double the subscription due to some company *****ing my money.

Please sort this issue out asap.

My data contract no is: ********** .

Please respond via my e-mail: ********** or contact me on my primary cell no on ********** .

Thank you

Vincent

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for taking time to raise your concerns with MTN.

Our subscriber terms and conditions do not make specific reference to content charges. MTN enters into contractual relationship with WASP’s (Wireless Application Service Providers), and acts as an “enabler” to the WASP’s by making the network platform available and providing a payment gateway. In addition MTN requires that such WASP’s be members of WASPA in an effort to bring about a self-regulatory measure. MTN does not have relationships with the content providers, they however have direct relationships with the WASP who aggregates such content on their behalf.

For any dispute regarding Wasp content subscription/ deductions, please lodge a complaint directly with Waspa either via www.waspa.org.za or on ***.

Warm regards,

Mike Ramaboka

Good day. This is regarding the below complaint logged, and still battling to get assistance from MTN nor WASPA. It looks like everybody just don't want to assist me, waspa just advised that according to their records I am unsubscribed, but if I am subscribed why is it that I am still being billed for content charges for this *****ed company " air g". Up till now I am still billed and I am really fed up with this business practice, and this is *****. If MTN don't want to get involved, give me then the contact no or e-mail adress for the ombudsman who are willing to assist me or better the CPA contact person, because I will not stop until I get a full refund for this unauthorised *****elent subscriptions! Below is the e-mail I sent to waspa, which advised me that I am unsubscribed but which is wrong as I am still subscribed and still no refund: I am referring to the above case no: ********** being logged on the 25/10/2017 for unwanted content charged being billed on my MTN SP Contract data no: ********** . I have been fighting with MTN SP for months now for the ***** and unwanted content charge with "AIR G" that been billed on my contract with MTN SP. Apparently it was cancelled by "AIR G" somewhere in the month of October 2017 and then in some way being billed again for subscriptions - MTN SP Ref no: ********** 87 (30/01/2018). The big problem i have is that i never gave consent in any way for this company "AIR G", whoever they are to bill my contract no: ********** for services i never requested. This has been going on from June 2017, maybe earlier until now for January 2018. I have been paying every month extra additional charges between R150 - R300 which i cannot afford too pay, for something i never requested. I feel that something ******** is happening on my cell no, and ***** is happening here, as this is ****************. At the moment i cannot pay my contract on time due to this ******** happenings. This really puts me in a difficult financial situation! On the 10/10/2017 i have contacted "AIR G" on ********** and the agent assured me that the service will be cancelled and she also could not explain on how i got billed, but never received an sms that it was cancelled. The only option for me is to take this matter further, whether it is going to the CPA court or Ombudsman. I request to be refunded on this matter to my bank account. MTN SP also advised me that they cannot get involved as this is a third party query, and that the only option i have is to do a number swop which is going to cost me extra R300 for a new cell no on my existing data contract, and all for this company being an inconvenience to me as consumer. I have attached Invoices from June 2017 until now January 2018, i have underlined the content billing being charged on my account. The breakdown is as follows: 1. June 2017 ***.79 2. July 2017 ***.80 3. August 2017 ***.73 4. October 2017 ***.82 5. November 2017 ***.89 6. December 2017 ***.89 7. January 2018 ***.89 Total of content charge being billed by "AIR G" comes to R1332.81. plus R300 as a number swop needs to be done by MTN SP to get rid of these unauthorized content charges, which is a inconvenience and not my wrong doing.
