After 3 weeks - nobody seems to know anything.
I handed my iPhone 6s in for repairs at the MTN Loveday store three weeks ago. I was told that I would receive a quote within days and that repairs take 2-3 weeks. After a week I had not received a quote and Loveday could not provide me with any feedback as to where the phone was. I was given the Repair Centre's number because Loveday said that they hold too long waiting for the Repair Centre to answer so I should phone them. At the Repair Centre I spoke to John who telephonically gave me a quote, and I asked him to proceed with the repairs - which would be ready for collection today (3 Feb). I also formally accepted the quote via SMS which I received later that day. Today when I phoned to confirm that the phone is ready for collection, I am told that I need to pay the cost up-front (R6300) and that I could then collect is next week Thursday. That is after I was told the previous week by John that I could pay for the repairs when I collect the phone today.

Now it would appear as if the phone has not been repaired, but nobody really knows. As usual, nobody phones me back as they say they would and I have no idea whether I will ever see my phone again.
