After 14 years of loyalty. Mtn gives a damn about clients

It saddens me to write this complaint about mtn but after 14 years of service and loyalty to this network they Customer relation s****s have gone to the worst levels ever.

My contract is 14 years old. I took out a Black Friday contact 2 years ago. 50gb contract. This Black Friday I was up for renewal. Went to the mtn trade route store and stood in a queue for hours waiting for service. Eventually was told the systems have crashed and they can only deal with queries.

I queried my contract and was told that I have till February to renew my contract and need not stress.

I have been trying to call MTN since Black Friday to confirm and cannot get through. I have spent more than 90mins holding on for mtn.

Finally today I get through and I am told they cannot help me. Deals are no longer available yet friends and family I know are still getting the R199 deal after threatening to cancel.

It seems that mtn picks and chooses clients lately and even after my 14 years loyalty to the brand they are not willing to assist me in any way.

Is this how you treat long term clients? Is it the clients fault if your systems cannot process or handle high volumes? How much of time do you expect the working class people to take off to sort out a contract?

I would appreciate a response from mtn as soon as possible as I have spent the entire Black Friday weekend trying to get hold of someone who can assist. Offices hours were not even extended to help with the high volume calls.

It angers me so much that there is ************** amongst clients from mtn and that mtn feels they can pick and choose who gets better deals.

Most clients are recent clients of your network only because of Black Friday yet you fail to acknowledge clients that have been with you for 14 years and have not defaulted once with account.

Other networks need to take the opportunity now and offer the consumer deals because as mtn is going a lot of people will be porting numbers. I myself am seriously considering it. It honestly hurts and angers me that after 14 years I’ve been so loyal to mtn yet I’m just another consumer in their eyes.

Your soonest response will be highly appreciated but I won’t hold my breathe after the service I received this weekend.

So it has been more than half a day and mtn has still not bothered about contacting me or responding. After hours on the phone with them again today and actually loosing my cool the call centre agent Randell who is the Retention’s supervisor slammed the phone down on me. Absolutely pathetic service. Never even tried to calm me down. Just aggreviated me more

Too date MTN has not bothered contacting me showing that they simply do not care for their clients. I challenge MTN to respond to my query and answer one simple question. Why would you have a Black Friday special for retention’s department. This is where cancellations take place. Why was the R199 data deal not given to all mtn clients and if it was sent in error, what is MTN doing to correct it?
