Advertised data not supp**** and overcharged on contracted amount.

I recently upgraded two contracts with MTN. The one was advertised with 350MB data on made for me small package, however for the past 3 months I have only recieved 100MB. Secondly I also upgraded to a choice 2GB contract with the Samsung Tab A 10.1 that was advertised for R249 per month but on my last payment date I was charged more than double the amount. I questioned this on a review on hellopeter and a lady named Alice van der Merwe contacted me and requested that I send her copies of these signed contracts. I did exactly that and had no reply for over a week. When I contacted Alice again via e-mail for the second time she only requested that I supply copies of the contracts again and nothing has been heard of her ever since. Today for the third month in a row I have not recieved the advertised data and still have no confirmation on why I am being overcharged on my additional contract. This is absolutaly pathetic service. I can just imagine how Alice request once again to be supp**** with copies of the contracts for a third time and we are talking of contracts that should have been in the possesion of MTN in the first place. Totally pathetic!

Thank you for the response and the corrective actions taken so far. However I am not sure I understand what you mean with no discount calculated on the data contract. I am not asking for discount. I am asking why it is that I am not paying the price advertised and contracted. The package was advertised for R249 including the Samsung Tab A 10.1 and 2GB data per month. This was an upgrade for an existing contract that used to be a sim only deal. According to a statement I recieved recently I am now being billed for two 2GB packages. I am now paying for the upgraded one however I am also still paying the old rate. In addition to that there is a monthly promo service fee of R95 and these charges results in me paying more than double the amount that was advertised. I checked the contract terms and there is no mentioning of any promo service fee. It clearly states that the package tarrif is 249. In all my years at MTN I have never payed an additional promo service fee on any contract. What is the purpose behind advertising for a specific price if MTN can not deliver. Then MTN might as well not have had a promotion on the said package and just advertised the normal price. Does the consumer not have a basic right to pay the price advertised?
