I bought the above-mentioned phone on 30 October 2023.and I used it until 17 December 2023 when I took it back to Ackerman's in Silverton Mall and I was told it would take 20 days not counting public holidays and weekends, that was not cool but I had no choice as I was going on holidays with a hope of getting my phone after 20 days.
I waited patiently until today I didn't have my phone back. My request is that I can get my refund or a new phone. I am struggling as I had to buy a temporary phone that you guys don't cover.
I did know that buying something in cash is a sin. To MTN- Selling old stock phones to us black market is not on. You are preying on us wanting us to use our hard earned cash to get second hand devices, now your repair shop/warehouse decided to keep my low income phone. Hardly two months using your reject/second hand phone is not functional.
I have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act (which replaced the Supply of Goods and Services Act from 1 October 2015). You fail to provide service to me with reasonable skill and care.
Can the retailer and manufacturer or service provider who is responsible for dealing with your phone. So if you develop a fault, I am entitled to a full refund, repair or replacement.
If the fault develops within two months, the law assumes that the fault was inherent in the phone unless the retailer can actually prove otherwise.
To Ackerman's and MTN please respect our money and our blackness. Customer care is crucial to all regarding race, creed or colour. I am so disappointed in your services both Ackermans & MTN.
The retailer (Ackermans) is passing the buck when it comes to taking responsibility, though i don't blame them but they are just a storeroom for MTN rejects devices.
