Account N***

It has been Two weeks since I logged a complaint against MTN and all I got was an automated response that someone will contact me to assist. Guess what?????? No one has contacted me ever since.

Frustrated Client - account N **********

Can`t quite remember the month but I believe in February 2015 my contract (N ********** ) expired with MTN and I cancelled the contract and my number was succesfully migrated to prepaid. This was a business contract which was paid by my company and I paid whatever difference from my pocket. To cut the long story short as far as I remember I was advised when I cancelled the contract that there were no amounts outstanding. Now 18 months later I am find out there is R356.00 outstanding . i have never received a call, sms, email nor post for 18 months advising of any outstanding amounts but there is all of a sudden an amount outstanding. I subscribe to both transunion and experian and since February 2015 to April 2016 this account had been showing as paid up but suddenly this month the record says I am over 150 days overdue and knocked my credit score from 968 (excellent) to 580 (poor). My wife an I are in the process of having a buliding loan registered and could lose the funding after paying almost R200 000.00 if Standard Bank processes another credit check. I don`t care what the R356.00 is for I will pay it just give me bank details but I need your legal department to remove this info from my credit as it is prejudicial. I can share the June credit report and the August one to prove that this record suddenly appeared. I called your so called legal department without luck since Friday 26/08/2016. I was eventually assisted by someone from accounts who said I would be contacted by legal today but still nothing. Your service is horrible, hence i cancelled my contract and went to Vodacom. Please sort this out.
