Account balance is R756 but I have exceeded my credit limit of R1 302!

<p>I cannot believe MTN total lack of service to me after nearly 20 years of loyal support with 5 contracts between my own name & my companies. I received an sms this morning advising me that my number was being barred for outgoing calls because I had exceeded my credit limt of R1 302!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p>My monthly net contract invoice for the number barred is R1 098. The current balance on my account is R756. My next invoice will only be issued on 16 March, 2017. I have checked my unbilled calls on MTN Active and I have no overruns at all; I in fact have over R1 000 airtime still available from carryovers. The account number currently barred for outgoing calls is C ********** .</p> <p>I phoned the 808 call centre at about 12h40 & spoke to Lerato Legodi with reference number ********** . I was told I had exceeded my credit limit because my unbilled invoice was being taken into account!!!!!! She did 'escalate' the query to credit control to increase my credit limit but said it would take up to 3 days to be resolved, if at all. She copied me on the emaol she sent internally.</p> <p>Autopage was my service provider for nearly 18 years and I never had an account problem, never failed to make any payments or ever had my phone barred for exceeding my credit limit. My contract payments are all on debit orders and those debit orders have never not been met in nearly 20 years now. Obviously when we were transferred to MTN Service Provider when Autopage Cellular went out of business, my credit record of nearly 18 years with autopage didn't come with me!!!</p> <p>I live on a farm in a private nature reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park. We have no means of outside communication here other than cellphone which in my case is aided by a repeater installed by MTN, at their cost. Should anything happen to me, I could not call anyone for help. My wife is presently in Johannesburg close to her cardiologist and major medical facilities as she is in very ill health at the moment but thanks to your totally unfounded barring of my phone, I cannot even phone her to find out how she is.</p> <p>THERE IS NO VALID REASON WHY MY PHONE SHOULD BE BARRED FOR OUTGOING CALLS. WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO GET IT UNBARRED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
