ACC A003319 EXCESSIVE DATA CHARGES
I received my Jun 15 statement on 30 Jun 15 and nearly had a hart attack. I owed R 3 981.31. This is more than 50% of the pension that I receive. How is it possible that my account was alowed to build up to this amount. I signed a contract for R 150.50 per month for 2gigs and I have never, in all the years I have been with MTN had exceeded the 2 gigs. I never app**** for any credit and definitely not to the tune of R3600.00

I don't deny that I transfered more than 2 gigs data to Dropbox during June but not to the extend of R3981.31.Please can I apply for some relief of this enormous account. I am a pensioner and can't afford to pay this amount. Ignorance is no excuse but if I was forewarned I would not have allow it to escalate to this amount.

I have send e-mails on 30 June, 10 Jul, 13 Jul 2015 and receveid ***, ***4 and ***3 respectively. I went to the MTN branch in Jubelee Centre on Monday 13 July and they also sent an e-mail to the Call Centre. Up to now no response was received from MTN apart from the reference numbers.
I am desperate to resolve this matter because I can't afford that a debit of R 3981.31 be deducted from my bank account. PLEASE HELP ME!
Thank you for your post,
We apologise for the delayed response and for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Please note that data bills have spiked because the out of bundle rates have increased to R0.99 per MB. We have also noted that the debit order has already been submitted.
