Absolutely terrible service from MTN regarding SuperFlex numbers.
I have now been waiting over two weeks just to receive a QR code for an eSIM, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Every time you try to resolve the issue you get sent in circles:
• Go to the store – they tell you to phone customer support. • Phone customer support – they tell you to go back to the store. • In the store – they tell you they do not have access to SuperFlex profiles and cannot help.
So what exactly is the point of the stores if they cannot assist with MTN’s own services?
To make matters worse, email support takes up to three days just to reply, and when they finally do, the issue is still not resolved.
This is not a minor inconvenience. This number is used for my business, and because of MTN’s inability to provide basic support, my number has been unavailable and unusable.
MTN advertises SuperFlex as a modern, flexible service, but in reality there is no proper support structure behind it.
Customers are simply pushed between departments with nobody able to actually fix the problem.
For a company of MTN’s size, this level of inefficiency, poor communication, and lack of accountability is unacceptable.

The problem started when I upgraded to a new phone. The original eSIM QR code is locked to the old device, so it cannot be used again. That means when you get a new phone you are completely stranded until MTN issues a new QR code.
Trying to resolve this with MTN has been impossible.

If you rely on your phone number for business, think twice before using MTN SuperFlex.
