A Merry Go Round of disastrous customer service - Thank You MTN for NOTHING

When I say this has been a disaster I mean this has been a DISASTER from start to finish.

I went to MTN to take out a business contract on 30 August 2016. I spoke to and worked with the Columbine Square store manager Tshidi Ketso and from start to finish I have received **** service from MTN as a whole. Firstly I called ahead to ask what documentation I would need as I did not want to sit in the store for hours on end... Even so I sat there for over three (3) hours as my application was processed - the delay being due to a "hanging" network...

This wouldn't have been an issue if at the end of it all the application was processed - instead I have been sitting with this "hanging" application ever since. Don't get me wrong, the way of the tech world is that sometimes things go wrong but SURELY in six (6) days something must have been corrected.

Instead when I became vocal about my discontent with the slow progress I was then told the back of the Directors ID card was required. After this was furnished Something else was required, after that something else... Always with a day separating my response to the request for documentation and their reply. However I constantly had the plaintive Ms Ketso on the line telling me about how hard she was trying, that all she could do was send an email to find out what was delaying the application and that she constantly received no response to this. Where then did the requests for documentation come from????

The latest is that this is the process and the imp**** comment that I am unreasonable to expect all the missing documentation be requested in a single go. I am STILL without a phone that is needed by our new sales rep - all other phones for our business are with MTN but at this point this will soon come to an end.

Instead of trying to pass the buck and make it appear that the onus of delay rests with an unreasonable, uncooperative client perhaps MTN needs to properly train their staff and ensure their support staff actually SUPPORT their frontline staff... Or perhaps they just don't NEED clients!!

This level of service - A WEEK TO RESPOND - is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Excuses are accepted only for the shortest time until money, necessity and service take precedence and those have taken over.

Thank you MTN for NOTHING!!
