6 consultatnts later - issue still not resolved!

This is a second HelloPeter complaint to MTN as my issue has still not been resolved. I have been incorrectly charged for a data wholesale bundle in January. I made no such purchase through MTN and therefore want the R140.35 reimbursed.

The initial response received from Tim (MTN Complaints team) on HelloPeter was him insisting that the charge was correctly made and said it was not an error. I checked my records and found an sms from MTN giving me 1GB of data which was a promotion - I did not subscribe or buy any data. He says I used the *140*2# service - this service gives me an error on my phone anyway!

To date I have spoken to 6 consultants, none of which could assist. Today the consultant said I must go into an MTN store with my banking history to fax to their back office as they do not have direct contact or an email address which I could send to. This is ridiculous and unacceptable as MTN should be a centralized organization. Furthermore why must I take a trip to the store when this is MTN\s fault and I have disputed the issue 6 times on the phone?? Please see the latest reference number given: 143 234 003 and request num: ***. "

Hello Shikara90,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. As per our records, the data bundles you are charged for were purchased on the phone itself and MTN did not receive any notification from you that the sim card is lost or ****** hence we are unable to credit.

Rest assured that it is not our intention to displease you and we look forward to continue improving on our service delivery to you.

Kind Regards
Itumeleng
