5 Days waiting with hours spent on the phone and no resolution in site.

When my wife took out a new MTN contract it was made clear that she wanted to keep her old number. We were struggling to get GloCell to switch the old contract number to prepaid and didn't know when it would be done. However, the MTN sales person assured us that we could sign up for the MTN contract and when the old number was on prepaid, port it to MTN prepaid. then call to activate the new sim and tell activations you want to keep your old number.

I called on 26 November 2016, they said activations was closed on weekends but I could go to a store and they could do it. On 27 November I went to Cavendish Square MTN, who very rudely, told me it can't be done and I must call MTN Direct.

I Called MTN Direct on 28 November, spoke to a person called Jonas, he said he thought he could sort it out but he wanted to check how to do it and would call me the next day for the "new" and "old"sim card numbers.

29 November, and Jonas didn't call. He also didn't make a note on the system, so nobody knew what I was talking about or who I spoke to. After about 2 hours on hold and being transfered to different departments I was told I need to speak to the sales person who opened the contract (Vusi).

30 November, I tried to get hold of Vusi, I was told he was busy and would call me back. I did this twice aprroximately half an hour apart, no response. I called again about an hour after the initial call, only to be told that Vusi no longer works there and only he is the only one who is allowed acces to the initial application and therefore nothing can be done on the original application.

The only solution is that the application must be terminated, but only Vusi can do that, so now the new sales person (Kalen) will check if it can be done (with someone who knows???), as he can't access the application, and call me back, it's been about an hour, still no call back...
