4 Mistakes with one upgrade
I have upgraded my MTN contract on Black friday (23 October 2018) and I got a Samsung Galaxy 8+ Phone. With just this one upgrade there was 3 mistakes: - I did not get the TV that was supposed to come with the phone - I am paying for a note 9 phone, around R370 more per month than the contract that I signed up for - I still get data and calls according to my old contract, which is great, for it gives me 50 Gig data per month, but still a mistake - They never sent me a copy of the contract, which means my only proof that I did get the contract that I got is the phone that they handed to me. The only time the shop got back to me on this issue was when they phones me by mistake and thought it was the wrong number. The number is in my contact list and therefore I answered.
I have been trying to sort this out with MTN, but to no avail. Every time I go to the store they tell me that they did send an email to address the problem and that is the end of it. Does MTN need a year to sort out problems? I have had problems with MTN in the past, almost every time there is something that needed attention, or when something is broken. Is there someone at MTN that actually cares enough to try and sort out this problem? I was told by friends that the same problems exist at other companies and it's not worth moving my contract: but at this point in time we are 4 months past October and still I am paying for a contract that I did not sign up for. Is there a lawyer out there that can help me to get this sorted?
