3rd time not so lucky

I am really dissapointed in the customer service of Smartsurv House MTN employees. They were impersonal, unfriendly and literally absent..

Went into the shop on 23/09/2016 and was met by a very unfriendly, lady dragging her feet. She looked unneat and unwilling to help and mumbled only a few words what i assumed to be , 'can i help?' I explained the problem i have with my LG phone...She walked off without a word.... so i followed. We ended at a desk with two MTN employees on their phones having a personal discussion. I had to wait for them to finish their weekend plans and love quirrel discussion before being helped. I forgot the charger and had to return again.

Returned to the store on 26/09/2016. This time i was greeted by a very friendly young gentleman eager to help. I was impressed and thought that maybe everyone has their off days. I moved on to counter 14...there was no one there...all the other counters had employees stationed at them, but Thembakasi was missing. The young gentleman said that she must have run off to the loo and that she will return shortly...i waited...asked around if i cant be move to a different counter since the store was basically empty. I waited for quite some time, then she appeared from the back...not apologising, chewing on a chewing gum of which i could easily identify the flavor, brand and color everytime she opened her mouth. Same mumbling sounds as per visit one. I booked the phone in, wasn't guided as to the process, time, notifications, cost etc. so i hoped for the best.

3rd time lucky on 07/10/2016...or not...Service at the door was nice, the guy i was allocated to was somewhat friendly. I received my phone in an enclosed package. Asked the guy what was wrong, he said that there wasn't a job card attached to the package. I asked whether it was fixed, he rep**** that it should be and that they would have made special mention if anything was wrong. I was very happy to finally have my phone back.

When i opened the package at home, the battery was simply marked with 'faulty'. Now this was really frustrating. I could have bought a new battery whilst in the store but instead i now have to make another trip.

It seems as if its acceptable to do the bare minimum and simply get rid of customers as quick as possible. It's as if you are speaking to a robot simply programmed to do what is written on the screen. And it is utterly frustrating to now having to go into the store again to try and figure out whether i should buy a new battery to solve my problems or if the battery was faulty and hence the technicians could not inspect the reason for the phone continuously restaring on its own.

This branch seriously need a talking to or be presented a course in customer service and going the extra mile 101.
