3 weeks to connect a sim????

Three weeks ago I visited the Walmer Park Store of MTN to apply for a new sim card. they told me it would take around 24 hours to connect. I have been back to the store on three occasions and sent an e mail to query why I am still not connected to no avail, my ref. USD ***. Please see that it is reconnected by no later than today at close of business.
