2 Different phones in 7 days

I upgraded to a Sony Z5 on 01/12/2015, the evening when I got home I realised that my airtime had not carried over to the new contract which I was assured it would by Jeff. I had to purchase a Nano Sim for the new devise which is not necessary now, as I have returned the second phone which was replaced. I returned the first phone Wed 02/12/2015 got a new handset which also since have been giving problems.

I am now phoneless because this experience with MTN Cape Gate has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have had this contract for approximately a decade & never before had problems. They have not been able to sort out the airtime issue, it has been a week.

I had to purchase a Sim converter which MTN have said I must submit the receipt & I might be reimbursed. I am a single female, which works in Stellenbosch lives in Kuilsriver, drives alone & now I do not have a cellphone for emergencies or communication. This is the situation I find myself now after being excited to do my upgrade.

Hello Madness26,

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused and for the breakdown in service.

We do see that the upgrade was done on the 1st of December 2015, however we do not see the OBF (Out of Box Failure) that was done. We've also now made contact with the store Store Manager and the consultant who assisted you with the upgrade and the matter with the airtime you've lost.

Regards
Tim
