Over R20 000 wasted!!!!
On 14 June 2025, a consultant contacted me. At first I didn't want to go under debt review, but the lady was persistent and convinced me that I will have about R1000 a month saving on all my debt repayments if I go under debt review. With daily living increasing monthly, +- R1000 is a lot of money. So I agreed to go under debt review. Just to mention - ALL my accounts were paid up to date - NO ARREARS!
Wednesday, 6 Aug I was contacted by one of my creditors enquiring about payment. I sent a WhatsApp to MSD Consulting - they confirmed the account is included under debt review and I should please not make a payment and they (MSD) will follow up with the creditor. Monday, 11 Aug, I was again contacted by the same creditor, same story, requesting payment. I once again followed up with MSD - at first they said the account was not included under debt review. When I enquired how it could not be as it was on the list when I completed the application form. I requested that they refund all my money paid till then as I will rather pay my creditors as before. At least then no one contacted me requesting payments. I was given sincerest apologies and MSD confirmed that the account is indeed under debt review and falls under Consumer Friend, they will contact the admin team and find out why I'm still being contacted by the creditor. Thursday, 14 Aug I followed up via the WhatsApp chat, no answer. Monday, 18 Aug, I followed up again, no answer. Saturday, 23 Aug, a lady contacted me to ask if I'm still happy with the service, when I stated that I'm definitely not, and I regret that I went under debt review, she said she will assist with it and I should be in contact with her via WhatsApp with any concerns. I sent her a photo of the specific creditor's contract for her to follow up. She said she will send it to the credit department. Needless to say, no feedback received.
The creditor contacted me again today, requesting payment as according to them, the account is not under debt review and the will be taking legal action.
Over R20000 paid to MSD consulting - all accounts are in arrears and credit score dropped drastically.

After receiving the distribution statement yesterday, I decided to check for myself if the specific creditor is indeed under debt review and to my shock, they are not!!!!! Which means that I have not made any payment towards that account for the past 4 months and they have the right to continue with legal action!
As stated above they were included on the list when the application was completed. Hence I trusted the word of the person confirming that is is.
I honestly have to say that I find it difficult to believe your statement above, I am a client and I don't feel like a top priority. I feel like just a number to MSD Consulting. Your best is obviously not good enough as I don't feel I received excellent service.
My question to you is, how will you fix this mess?????? I trusted you to help, but you just ruined my credit score.

Thank you once again for replying to my complaint. I've been in contact with a consultant via WhatsApp, but since Friday, 10 October, I'm being ignored and no consultant has given me a call.
