************ - Say it is PAYG, sign you up for a contract

Their sales agent called me to say I got a free pay as you go sim card, my response is sure send it to me. They send it and only after delivery I see it is a monthly contract. I query it, they claim the agent said it was a contract with time stamps in the call. I have my own recording, the agent did not say those things. I tell them so, they do not read my response and send me their copy of the same conversation. I respond that I have a copy, and the agent did not say those things. They choose to ignore my emails and the follow ups. They send me my monthly statement and billed mne an activation fee and a monthly fee. I query it and get no response. As stated in my previous emails I refuse to pay anything until the issue is resolved. They call me to say the account is in arrears, I tell the agent that I refuse to pay and why. He hangs up on me. Eventually, after almost 2 months they get back to me. What a disgusting company. Their whole sales pitch is ambiguous and reeks of a con-job with just enough to make it legal. I ask if it is a Pay as you Go, "Yes" but somewhere in the call they mention 12 month "subscription", not contract. They say I get free airtime but they preload it and charge me. I am R200 out of pocket because of their scheme. STAY AWAY. Mr Price lost a client and I will spread poison far and wide. Terrible company. Terrible communication. Terrible Service. Con artists. Stay away.
