Salt True Wireless Pods (highly recommended)

I received the Salt True Wireless Pods after winning a Mr Price competition, and they were couriered from Durban to my nearest store for collection. The packaging itself was a bit tough to open—I had to tear the box slightly—but once inside, everything was neatly arranged. The earbuds and charging case felt surprisingly solid for the R159 price point.

I used the earbuds mostly while cleaning, and they stayed in place comfortably. The tap controls were the standout feature for me: very responsive and quick, making it easy to pause, play, or change songs without reaching for my phone. The battery life is basic at about 2–4 hours of nonstop use, which works well for short commutes or quick tasks. The Bluetooth range also lived up to the advertised 10 metres.

If there’s room for improvement, I’d love to see longer battery life and a noise-cancelling feature in future versions.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these earbuds—especially for students and high scholars looking for affordable, reliable audio options. They performed well for me, even on a phone with just 1GB of RAM. I rate them a strong 4.5 out of 5, and they are absolutely worth the R159 price.
