Phone mulfunctions after a month

I bought a phone from Mr Price in February than in March the phone started saying "app not responding..." One day it went off I took it in and I was told to update the software. I did but the phone still gets stuck, apps stop responding. I was advised by a friend never to buy phones from clothing shops. I am so disappointed
