Misleading Telemarketing
MRP Mobile phoned me 02/12/15 to offer the Prestigio Tablet for R129 p/m.MRP told me the offer was a once off deal & I have 5 days to cancel but saw later it's also advertised on their website.I needed a copy of my ID & proof of residence & will be notified b4 deliver. They delivered 04/12/15 without notification,I never got a chance to reconsider the offer.I was not @ the premises when they delivered which contravene the delivery instructions. When I opened the tablet & inserted the sim it was faulty.I phoned in immediately & was told to call the next day.On 05/12/15 they told me to call back the 07/12/15.I 1st inquired if I could cancel the contract because I was not happy they told me I need to pay 30% cancellation fee which MRP never mentioned b4.The tablet was only collected 18/12/15.When I phoned MRP 22/12/15 they told me that Prestigio closed & will open 04/01/16.I'm going to seek legal advice because I feel I was misled & wish to cancel the contract.I'm not willing to pay for a faulty device and service I don't have & never used.I only used the sim to call MRP Mobile which is a free call.MRP told me to keep the sim but I am sure that it can be deactivate on their side.
