"Conned" into a contract

Hi! In December of 2016 a telemarketer from MRP Mobile phoned me at my workplace. Normally when I hear it is telemarketing or something similar, I end the converstaion. This lady made it seem like I was getting a "gift" for being "such a loyal customer". The gift would be a MRP Simcard, which will be delivered to me, and it will have R125 airtime on it for me to use. I f I want to I can in future buy airtime for this simcard on my MRP Account. That is how i understood the whole conversation. Never once was the word " contract" or "24 months" mentioned. When the couriers came with the parcel (Simcard), I saw on a document accompaning it someting about "x24 months". THEN ONLY I realised that it was a contract. I did not open or activate the Simcard. Now I see on my monthly MRP account statement that there is a "MRP 125 Hero TopUp" @ R125. Is there ANY way that I can cancel this contract?! I do not want it, I have a brand new phone and contract. I f I realised on that December day that the lady was conning me into a contract I obviousdly would have declined immediately. The fact that I actually listened to her for almost 15 minutes, means that I was misleaded. I would appreciate any help, so that I can cancel this contract.
