Cell phone exchange

I bought a cell phone from Mr Price Ferndale on republic on the 8 of July 2022 a week later the phones starts to make nonsense I took it back to my nearest Mr price to have it exchanged but was told to go back to the one in Ferndale because I bought it there I explain to the lady I can only go there in two weeks as I am not in town she said it will be fine. Two weeks later I'm back in jhb go to Ferndale on republic the manger of the store refused to help me he stood there smirking and making fun of me to his colleagues I told him I do not want the phone to be sent in for repairs I want it exchanged because I had it of a week and it started to freeze and rebooting by itself I even showed him what the phone was doing but he didn't want to help me I'm still struggling to get my phone exchanged but no Mr price will help me. Mr Price Ferndale on republic is the worse. Hopefully now I'll get some help or should I call in my lawyer because I can't pay for something that isn't working.
