Blatant *****

In September i was shopping in Gateway and was approached by one of your staff who seemed to be pestering every other customer in the store, giving away free sim cards. I was told it is a top up sim and not a contract. I told this guy I'm not interested, he insisted that i take it just to help promote mrpmobile since it is a new service from mrp adding that i get free airtime when i make normal purchases from mrp and i can buy airtime from mrp on my account and get billed end of the month. So i took the sim card. Then got a call from the call centre to activate the sim card. Before and after activation of the sim card i ask the agent if it is a contract and he said NO THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT. Two days ago i looked at my statement and saw i was billed 100 for the last four months. I called mrp and got a call audit. The agent can be clearly heard saying 'This is not a contract' in the call audit. I cancelled the contract but i lost R400 which i was not aware was deducted from me and i was not even aware that i was receiving R100 airtime.

Pathetic way to sell contracts. Its a new low for mrp.

I have not used the sim card because I was under the impression that I have to buy airtime to use it.

So the sim is not use and i was misled and ******.

How do you fix this. I need my money back.
