Substandard merchandise

I bought a pair of maxed shoes for my daughter on 1 June 2019. My child used it about 3 times and the front is tearing. The shoes are still new. I bought it cash for R169 and I didn't have the receipt. I went to the Clearwater store and they were very unhelpful and even mentioned that the shoe does belong to Mr price sport. I obviously didn't keep the receipt. The lady rudely mentioned that I should have kept the receipts for the full duration of the shoes lfe. I will close my account and never buy from Mr price ever again
