POPI Act Breach!!!

I went to Mr Price Sport today at Centurion Lifestyle Center. The cashier did not ask me if I wanted my receipt printed or emailed. He entered an email address out of his own and then gave me the eft slip. His name is Anele. When I asked why he didn't ask me for my email address he said he always does his transactions like this and that the email doesn't exist. I then spoke to the manager, Boitumelo, who said this is not how the staff are trained. I asked for proof that the email does not exist. From her own phone, she sent an email to the email used by Anele and said that it went through. She then spoke to the area manager, Frank, who said no proof could be given that the email was undelivered. By paying by card, there is partial card information on the receipt which is a breach as a random stranger has this information in their email account. This is unacceptable that Mr Price cannot trace their own system's transactions as per the Act.
