Sat.31st.Jan 2020. Toured the "new" layout of the Moffett Shopping Centre in PE. Passed the Mr.Price Sports, in their window was an appealing advert. "Selected Fitness & Health Wear @ Half-Price" Out of curiosity my wife & myself decided to see how real was this advert. Unfortunately, Load Shedding was evidence of Eskom. However, we went in as there was sufficient daylight coming through the huge windows. Siyanda a friendly enthusiastic young chappie, came forth, enquired how was he able to assist. We explained that we Pensioners with a fixed income. Unfazed, he asked if we would care to see some of their Specials. After much thought, we choose to look at some shoes for Parkrun, and some other running & walking appeal. The prices were good in comparison to other similar other stores. However, at the pay point, there were notices about only able to accept cash payments due to Load Shedding. As our payment was R300.00 the Manager Shanita came to see if in any way she could possibly assist. Her approach was of compassion, friendly with wanting to assist. After listening to our dilemma, she suggested that she was able to keep the goods one side at the marked down prices until the weekend or latest Monday. We were asked to put our names and contact on the slip which was attached to our purchases. Thank you Mr.Price Sports Moffett Shopping Centre.
