No Exchange. How rediculous

I have just tried to exchange a costume for my 11 year old daughter at tour arghyle branch. I was told that it cannot be exchanged due to higyene purposes. The higyene tag was still in tact. I spoke to Clayton who claimed he was he manager. Nowhere in you shop Dos it say that costumes cannot be exchanged. In addition he basically accused me of *****ing as I did not have a slip. This goes against my rights as a consumer and I would like to enact my right as a condiment to get a refund for the costume. I would also like Clayton to apologies for insulting me in the shop. He was arrogant and rude. I will take this matter further if required. Interestingly enough. My hubby has just exchanged swimwear at Woolworths. They actually invited him to exchange it if it does not fit. And the hygiene issue does not make sense. If you fit it on in the shop or outside, you are still the same person with the same germs.
