Mr Price Standards are so poor
Wanted to buy a rugby ball that I saw advertised on the website for R129. 99..wrnt to the store in the lifestyle centre...
Very few ***** have an indication of price and no pricing on the shelving. But I took a ball that seems similar to the picture. At the till area very few cashiers so naturally a queue.. When I got the the cashier, she was friendly enough but after the price scanned at R159. 99 I challenged that price then it went downhill from there.
So I had to prove the price I saw which I did from my cellphone.. She called a manager (totally disengaged, uninterested and unhelpful?) who I had to prove the price point to as well and she didn't know what to do. That is what the code shows she believes and that's that. So I asked for someone more senior like an area manager.. No. She says they don't work on Sundays.. I said let me try give me the number and let's see. She refused.
She shouted for someone from that section to come helped and we waited for that person. Who also just stated it's not that ball.. I asked how can a customer know what ball is at what price when there are no prices to be seen. The manager said some really lame excuse as to why thry could put price ticked or pricing on shelving..
I had to demand that thry fine a ball at the right price point which the floor lady eventually did find..
Really it was just unpleasant and it seems the only difference between the ***** is the colour branding.
If you put prices on your products this would not happen. If you educate your managers in service this would not happen
I doubt much will happen from this but maybe a small chance it might help other patrons in future.
So disappointed
