Unsatisfactory service
On 26 May I placed an online order for a foot stool which I decided to return as I found it unsuitable. I popped into the Westville Pavilion store on 16 June to return it, only to be told that as it is a furniture item, I need to contact the Help Line for them to arrange collection by courier. An email to this effect was sent to them on the same day, with a reminder on 20 June. Having had no response a week later, I phoned the Help Line, only to be told that I am able to return the item to a store as it is not volume furniture. Today I once again visited the Westville Pavilion store with a view to returning the item, only to be told, once again, that it is not possible for me to return it to them. I then insisted that the staff member phone the Help Line and made it clear to him that I was NOT leaving the store unless a refund had been issued to me. As no reply was forthcoming from the Help Line, the staff member concerned requested me to produce the slip as proof of payment, without which he could not process the refund, this despite it having been made clear to him that the item was paid for via online banking and that no slip was therefore available. After having been kept waiting for nearly 1/2 hour, and as still no reply had been forthcoming from the Help Line, I was eventually issued with a refund. However, I received no apology for the inconvenience and was treated with a lack of respect by Blessing, the store manager. Furthermore, as a woman of over 60, with comorbidities, I was unnecessarily exposed to a busy shopping mall due to the inefficiency of Mr Price Home staff.
