REFUND: UNFAIR REFUSAL

On Saturday 31 March 2018, I bought one king size and one pair standard size pillowcases for cash at Matlosana Mall in Klerksdorp, but I had given it back with its original packaging one day later on Monday 02 April 2018 for a refund, because the quality was not worth its value.

The lady in charge (LEAH) refused to refund my cash purchase because I did not have the original receipt . I have explained to her that the receipt unintentionally ended up with my shirt in the washing machine and will obviously not be available - but she absolutely refused and offered me a voucher for the same amount to buy something else in store that I don't need- and she confirmed this as company policy. There is no notice or proof of this policy in store, and the only reference in this regard is stated on the back of a receipt which states that items that are not satisfactory will be refunded if returned within 90 days with the receipt and packaging.

I brought to her attention that I comp**** with all the requirements, and for the receipt she can check her system records for the specific date and purchase, but she still refused to assist me with the necessary equity. I insisted on the head office's number for complaints to deal with this unfair incident, but sadly did not receive a response to the number ********** at 11:04 AM...
