Do not order from Mr Price Home Online - this is first class theft to the highest degree!!!

Order a desk and a carpet from Mr Price Home Online. Few days later received an email notification to say there is a backlog in delivery. I contacted them few days later and I was told there is no stock and they couldn’t tell me when they would get stock and when delivery would take place. Checked if there was stock anywhere else and was told only one store had and item was damaged. Opted to cancel the order.

Was informed that I would get a refund voucher, which I received however as I had no guarantee on stock I said I want the money refunded back into my account. This is where the deception started.

On 13 July - Operator that I spoke to sent email requesting banking details. I submitted within 4 min. Was told it would take 3 - 5 working days.

On 17 July I phoned to ask what is the status - I was told they haven’t received my banking details. Call centre agent that I spoke to stayed on the line while I sent him the proof of email. Was advised that it would be escalated and a Balesa (excuse if spelling incorrect) would contact me on Saturday. I was told it would take 24 hours. So No phone call the whole weekend.

20 July Phoned on Monday was told my case was handed to finance department at 08h30 and it would take 3 - 5 working days. Was also informed that Balesa was not working that weekend.

24 July tried from 8 to 9 am to phone the call centre. Informed that call centre is closed and to phone during office hours. Call centre is advertised as open mon to fri 8 - 6pm. Phoned head office. Was told that contact will be made with finance and they would contact me if there’s any feedback. Was also told call centre e-commerce is only available from 1pm .

Phoned head office at 12 at least 8 times - each time call was put down or cut off. Was told Mr price home is moving and email was sent to Balesa again that I needed my money urgently and she needs to phone me ASAP. I’m still waiting.

I keep getting told Mr Price Home will pay my money back.
