PAYING YOUR MR PRICE HOME ITEM WITH A GIFT VOUCHER

I received a Mr Price Home Gift Voucher for my birthday. Decided yesterday to use it to purchase a comforter for my spare bedroom. The price on the comforter was R399. My voucher was to the value of R250. I offered Lucia my voucher as well as my Mr Price account card for the difference of R149.90. She informed me that I could only use one. I asked her what she meant. She told me that I can either pay with the voucher of with my account. How ridiculous is this? Apparently according to the other Mr Price Home employees present, this is normal practice that you cannot pay the balance of something with your account card if it costs more than your voucher????!! You must pay the difference in cash! If someone can PLEASE explain to me how this work? As I understand it, a voucher is CASH. I understand that you cannot pay your account with a voucher. That is normal practice - but WHY can I not pay the difference with my card? My account is handled in a perfect way. My instalment is R235 and I pay R1000 per month.<br> I would really like to be enlightened.
