No Stock of Items on Floor

Hello<br> <br> I was just in your store in Bayside Mall and wanted to purchase a coffee table. I was told that it was the last one and that it is not for sale and only for display purposes - with new stock only arriving mid to end November. Surely there is no point in doing something of this nature? If an item is sold out/out of stock, what is the point of displaying it on the floor for four months or longer?
