No refund or credit for broken item!!! Disgusting

I placed an order online for quite a few items. One of the items was a lamp with a specific bulb . Well, the lamp was wrapped in some paper and thrown into the box with all the other stuff which obviously resulted in it arriving shattered upon delivery! Common sense would tell one that one cannot simply wrap some glass in paper and pack it into a box with other items . Anyway, I called Mr Price Home customer care to let them know that the lamp I paid for arrived shattered and I need a credit or refund . They requested me to email pictures of the lamp and they sent someone to collect it . Well it’s been 2 weeks of calls to their customer care center and still no credit or refund !!!! I paid hard earned money for a broken item and it seems like they’re refusing to credit me !! Disgusting service ! Essentially, my money was ****** !
