No compassion here

I purchased a material based laundry basket from Mr Price home Greenpoint. The other day it started to show signs of breaking,so i called customer care. They apologized for what happened and told me to return item. So I went to the specific store to get a refund. I saw something made of plastic and was told the will give me the difference back. Here's where the whole thing went sour. I was told that according to their rules printed on receipt that items such as this cannot be returned after three months. The manageress was telling me that I shouldn't have overloaded it,and I said three time that not one staff member said anything to me while I was in the store. I eventually left furious as had someone had just been honest to say something to me I wouldn't have made that purchase. Utterly stupid if you ask me. This branch will not seeme again in this store ever again!! Typical "tough luck to you" attitude. This is one place I will cross off as a no go place in future. Be careful what laundry basket you buy in future,and please skip Me Price Green Point
