MRP - Does not INSPIRE

MRP Home Online I purchased a ladder shelf from MRP Home Online store on 16 December 2020 along with a few other items. I paid R350 for the delivery to take place within 3-5 working days. I received part of the order within 5 days and waited 7 days for the ladder-shelf to arrive. on the 23 December the courier company delivered a flat-packed shelf and proceeded to assemble this in my driveway only to discover the shelf damaged and patched with Polly filler in places. I requested the shelf be returned and wrote on the order sheet - refund requested under my signature. On the 30th December MRP called me to say they are delivering the now cancelled shelf. I explained to the agent that this shelf order is cancelled and a refund was requested. I then proceeded to complete an online cancellation request. I also emailed the *** with the same request on the 30 December 2020. In addition to this I sent a WhatsApp to the MRP WhatsApp no and communicated with Zinhle who confirmed the order as cancelled and that I should wait for an email confirming the refund. On the 03 January I received a call from MRP dispatch to say my cancelled shelf is on the way. Again I explained to the agent this is a cancelled item and I requested a refund. She mumbled something and hung-up. I once more used the online platform to inform MRP of my decision to cancel the shelf and requested a refund. I also emailed the same request to *** Today 06 January I again attempted to engage via WhatsApp speaking to Nomah, After 30minutes of silence she texted to say I would receive a call from the MRP call centre which I did, through a very poor line and asked the caller to please call back. I waited - no one called back to I called the following number *** at precisely 16h26 and spoke to an agent who did not identify himself. He placed me on hold for 19minutes after which the line disconnected. He did not call back nor answer when I tried calling the line again. Once more I emailed *** in addition to putting in the request via the MRP website.

Disappointed cannot describe the process of a broken shelf, time wasted and constantly having to repeat the same requested to various people since the 23 December 2020. Also I received no responses to the many emails sent to MRP as if it all went into some unknown space .

Please Mr Price Home - live up to your mantra and INSPIRE by refunding me my R2909.96 so we can all start afresh in this new year.

Regards Ruth
