Mr Price Home, Mall of the South by far the worst.

I am extremely appalled by the ****py level of service I have consistently received at the Mr Price Home at Mall of the South for years now. I work long hours during the week and have the misfortune of having to pop by just before they close on weekdays after having been stuck for hours in traffic and this past Sunday after having been busy all day redecorating my house I rushed to go get a few items...

Once I was in the store, one of the things I needed was a jam jar, and I decided to go to the isle that had these jars. I found one of the sales assistants there mopping the floor. I apologised and asked her kindly if I could quickly grab a jar before checkout and her words were (in the local language) " Can't you see I'm mopping here? Go the other way around" in a tone indicative of utter disrespect only for her to shortly turn to the guy that was sweeping close by and say to him "You're sweeping way too slow, we wanna knock off and go home". This was already the second incident in this one interaction. Another staff member was speaking candidly to her colleagues saying "Can these people just hurry up and leave already? We wanna go home." with me not far from the cohort, in full awareness that I am within earshot. This is not the first time this happened in this store and I hate how I am constantly made to feel as though I (or any other customer) shouldn't be in the store when it is still trading hours!

I have never seen any of them smile, and if I need assistance I always have to go around looking for someone to actually help me, only to find all of them congregated around the till. And when I ask where a specific item is I always get the response "Oh sorry, we're out of stock" only for me to find that very item on a shelf while looking for something else, because my shopping needs are of significantly less value than their conversation? This has happened far too many times with far too many of their staff members. I am extremely frustrated by how poor this level of service is! Something needs to be done about this!
