Company policy does NOT empower employees !!!

Last week my friend and I spent R 3 000 on table-ware at Mr Price Home. After paying I asked for the package to be double bagged as it was so heavy. The employee told me I "would need to pay for a 2nd bag."....... and that it was company policy.

I don't blame the employ for a poor policy, I blame the fools in head office who write these kind of rules.

The next day we went to a competitor, bought all the items we had purchased the day before from Mr Price Home, (this shop not only gave me a 2nd free bag but actually asked if they could carry to my car outside), and returned everything to Mr Price Home. Yes it cost more .... but was worth it !
