Mr Price home ***** on gift card

I received a gift card from family on 29 January. It was bought at Collonade on 28 January. When wanting to use this gift card yesterday at Menlyn store, I was told that there is only R9.10 on the card, but I have never used it. The branch Manager then checked the transactions on the card and it show that on the same day 28 January, the card was used at Alexandra and Mall of Africa. I raised a complaint as I have never been to either of those places and only received the card on the 29 January. The store told me that they wil contact me today by 11h00 to collect my items and have the ***** on the card sorted, as you must show your ID when using a gift card. I emailed my ID Copy and the receipt showing the amount the card was for, to the store. I have not heard anything. I phoned Mr Price Head Office and the lady non chalantly informed me that it is not a Head Office problem and the store must sort it. I told her it is not fair that I cannot use my gift card due to ***** in Mr Price Home and that they must help me. I threatened to go public and she advised me I am more than welcome to do that. So here we are. Mr Price Home does not assit me in solving this and cannot use a gift card that was purchases for me because of ***** inside of Mr Price Home. Why cant they issue me a new card while they "investigate" their own *****. I was not issued a ref nr and only have the emails showing correspondance.
