Missing package - no one coming back to me.

Placed an online order on 12 February, tomorrow is 1 March!

Part of the order was delivered to the store ages ago, the other part of the order is missing, when I call in, I get told "the courier are locating it and someone will contact you in 48 hours"

I have no email, no phone call, is this how a missing package is handled? How did they not see that only 1 of 2 items were delivered to the store and track the missing package automatically, why did I have to raise it, and when I did bring it to their attention, they act as if they don't care?
