If this is how you treat customers then I don't need to be one!!!

I don't think I have ever been as disappointed and disgusted with a service provider as I have been with what Mr Price Home handed me today. I just moved into a new apartment and I practically furnished it all with purchases at Mr Price Home. If I had to estimate it would be in excess of R50 000 with a R17 000 purchase that still needs to be delivered. I called the customer services number this morning to explain I have a few returns (goods purchased online and in store) and asked whether a courier could collect as one of the items I wish to return is a 3m curtain rod that doesn't fit into my car. Reason for return, size was wrong, but still in original packaging. I purchased it when I hired a moving company with a truck. The lady (epitome of professionalism) advised that it's not possible. I asked whether they could just take the curtain rod (instore purchase) and she said she would find out. Called me back and the answer is a flat no. I am so disappointed that I am contemplating not only cancelling my R17K purchase but returning anything and everything I bought from Mr Price Home that I haven't used yet. How you handle this matter will not only determine whether you still have a customer that spends exorbitant amounts with you but it will also determine whether anyone I know will even consider purchasing from you again...

To Whom It May Concern So to date no response from you apart from the confirmation of receipt. Following up on my initial complaint, confirmed my order delivery with the courier on Saturday for today. They confirmed delivery every single day since then only to get an e-mail from MRP to tell me that the couriers can't get a hold of me. They called me today to advise they are half an hour away, I get 2 male colleagues to go and receive the order which includes furniture that needs to be assembled. Courier advised that it shouldn't take more than an hour, and 45 minutes in they had assembled and broken only ONE item. My colleague forced them to take the items back because they couldn't spend the whole day watching them trying to figure out how to assemble. And on top of that my colleague tells me that the quality of the items is questionable. If the delivery guy was able to break it so easily what does that say about the quality and he referred to the item as "cheap" (his words). About half an hour to an hour later I get another call from a courier wanting to deliver my order. I told them they must have the wrong person because my order was returned but the courier confirmed my details. I only then found out my order was split (was NEVER mentioned prior) and part two was at my apartment. I have a full-time job, I cannot run up and down to my apartment the whole day. They ended up delivering to my office and now I must figure out how to get those massive boxes into my car. I am literally over Mr. Price Home. This purchase along with my previous complaint is making me want to showcase to people how an establishment like yours treats a valued customer. I suggest you seriously investigate this matter and get back to me with an extensive explanation and the findings of a quality inspection before you even attempt to redeliver the furniture. As for the other boxes, they shall remain sealed until I get an answer from you. Kind regards, Celeste Adams
