Faulty goods - no slip, no refund.

I bought a set of 3 pans and 2 lids when on holiday in Cape Town. After washing them in soapy water prior to use, as recommended, I found that the rims of the pans were rusting. Although I had the box, I no longer had the slip for the item bought 2 days before using a credit card. Mr Price Home will only exchange faulty goods and will not refund. I my view that is contrary to the intention and spirit of the Consumer Protection Act. Not impressed with the poor quality at MRP Home and really don't want anything else as it appears it is okay to sell faulty goods, branded MRPHome, at their stores!!!
