Do not buy anything for delivery from Greenstone Mr Price Home!

We bought a couch on the 3rd of December from the Greenstone store and paid R400 delivery fee for it. We were assured that the courier would contact us within 3 days to arrange a delivery date. When leaving the store we were just given a single receipt, and when I asked if there was any more paperwork I was assured by the salesman that there wasn't. After having no one contact us 5 days later, we phoned the store. The salesman (same one who handled our purchase) required an order number, which doesn't appear on the single receipt provided to us. He referred to another receipt which was never given to us and which he confirmed on the purchase day personally didn't exist. After some discussion he agreed to have the couch delivered the same day (8 Dec) and that he would phone me back to confirm the time. After several hours, I had received no call so we phoned back, but the store kept ending the call. We eventually called the call centre who transferred us to the store phone, where the salesman confirmed delivery between 4pm - 5pm. I left work to wait at my flat but nothing was delivered. We contacted the store manager (Mbali) today (9 Dec)to escalate the issue. We spoke to her and she promised to call us back with feedback. After several hours, we still had not been contacted, so we called Mbali again. She now stated that the courier had picked up the couch for delivery, without her first contacting us (as she promised that she would) to confirm availability of someone to receive the couch and that we should deal it with the courier directly. This is as inefficient and inconsiderate as it gets! Talk about ***********! We still have not been contacted by the courier.
