Complaint Regarding Staff Conduct – Mr Price Home Harvest Place

I don't even want to give this store one star. I had an extremely unpleasant experience once again today at Mr Price Home, Harvest Place, and unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced this kind of treatment from the staff.

The staff are incredibly rude, unhelpful and seem to have very little interest in assisting customers.

I purchased a few items today and paid using my Mr Price account. I had my digital ID with me on my phone, as I have unfortunately lost my physical ID. I ALWAYS use my digital ID, as it clearly identifies me and the ID number corresponds with my account. I have never had an issue using it before.

In fact, just a few minutes before going to Mr Price Home, I purchased something at Mr Price Clothing and they accepted my digital ID without any issue. I have also used it at Mr Price stores numerous times in the past.

However, at Mr Price Home, Harvest Place, the staff became frustrated with me and made an unnecessary scene over it. What I found particularly unprofessional and upsetting was that they started speaking about me in their language directly in front of me, seemingly assuming that I would not understand what they were saying. I understood them perfectly well.

I responded in English and explained that I have never had a problem using my digital ID at Mr Price and that it had literally just been accepted at Mr Price Clothing. Instead of trying to assist me or explain the situation professionally, the lady rolled her eyes at me and clicked her tongue.

Regardless of whether there was an issue with accepting the digital ID at that particular store, there is absolutely no reason for a customer to be spoken about in front of their face or treated with such disrespect. A simple, professional explanation would have been more than sufficient.

This is especially disappointing because it is not the first time I have experienced rude and unhelpful service at this particular Mr Price Home. I genuinely enjoy shopping at Mr Price and regularly support the brand, which makes these repeated experiences even more frustrating.

I would appreciate it if this complaint could be taken seriously and if the conduct of the staff at the Harvest Place Mr Price Home store could be addressed. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or disrespected when simply trying to make a purchase.
